Unless it's been repainted, all CE's were silver. But seeing pics. of the vehicle with the C7 Z06 wheels could pique some interest.

I suppose it's nice to have an exclusive color for a certain year/model
but I wonder if they wouldn't have sold more if they hadn't limited the
color choice? I know silver is a popular color, but still...

Sold more???? They made a hair over 5k total. It was the highest production color in 96 by far.

I like my 96 CE, but im also under no illusion that its NOT a rare care. Mine might be more rare than most being an LT4, Z51 car, but its still not that rare in the grand scheme.

The OP's car is 1 of 244 unless its got some kind of special option like F45 ride control which could make it a bit more rare.

Personally, I wouldn't want a car that's too rare or too low miles b/c I
want to be able to drive it w/o worrying that I'm lessening the value
by doing so.
I find it kind of amusing that so many Corvettes are described as
"rare" or only "1 of whatever". That's fine if you're a collector but
Corvettes in general are limited production cars anyway, as compared
to the average daily drivers of the general population.
