Best Big TB?
Hello all
Just need some help. im getting my blower ported soon. and wanted to upgrade the TB. is there a huge difference between the ZR1 95mm TB and the 102/103/106 TB'S? i know bigger is not always better and it is getting a tune but im worried about driveablitly as well. |

The 95 zr1 t,b, would be the one I would am going with on my new build. I have seen so much problem on the bigger one on the street tune in having problems.

I went with the zr1 tb. I think it should be good enough for the z06 blower. Plus I got everything for around $250 and I opened the snout with drill and sandpaper roll. Just waiting on MTI's fuel system then a dyno tune.

I'm getting it ported so it may be opened up to like 103 was why I'm.asking.
How much HP did you gain? I'm doing the same thing. And BILLLLYY chime in. |

The 103 is the best. A PD blower wants as much air as it can get.
Drivability good? |

Katech 103mm on my G1Pro intake for my Procharger nothing but positive to report. Thought I may have caused idle issues but that was a restrictive filter Procharger sent me. Soon as I put a big green filter on it’s idling fine. The Katech TB is beautiful also a nice billet piece. I know that sucker let’s a lot more air in just look at it side by side. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...a366ea9f2.jpeg |

Man that looks bad azz I know back when the big 102 t.b. came out that thing was a big PITA to get the driving around town worked out. Had one on the c5 set up & had to pull it off due to that reason. Glad to see stuff got works out on some in here I know a few weeks ago a guy in here was selling his doe to this problem. But again a lot has to due with tuner r so many so call tuners.. Robert
Robert couldn't have said it better myself it's all about the tuner. Chris has spent some time and numerous adjustments to get mine to a point I am getting satisfied. The more radical the build the harder it is to tune in most cases. I chose Chris b/c he has so much experience with port injection and builds similar to mine. Can't say enough about the guy! It's also good to chat with ya Robert being a fellow C5'er myself! That's where my madness started and I am sure you spent some money in those days as well! |

I did sorta like the top end with the 95 felt it did add a little top HPto the 1.7 . But it is great on the 2300. |
I was able too port match the 95mm spacer and still have the o ring . It is close. I can see if you port to much it will mess up the o ring groove.

No, just What you see. I wouldn't know how to port the snout. I just wanted the opening to be the same size as the tb. I think you would have a blade interference if you don't port match. Here is a pic before I started.

The 95mm LT5 is a great option and we should have ported systems available soon. However, the 103s are crucial for big power set ups with ported blowers. It's pretty simple to tune for them, we have never had a drivability issue with one but it will need to be tuned for sure. We have seen major gains with our Jokers Chaos ported LT4 and the 103s.

What are the thoughts on TB options for big power centri blower cars? |
