Need a really good wheel brush

Is there a particular type of wheel brush that folks have found to be effective & durable for cleaning out all the brake dust & gunk that gets in the wheels & drums?

The speed master is an awesome brush to use. It's durable and you can bend the brush to get behind spokes. It's also good to get deep inside the barrels. The front of the wheel you can use most any stock wheel brush with soft bristles.

Lots of people like Wheel Woolies but I prefer the Speed Master mentioned above.

The more often you clean these Pain in the Asses. The less effort it will take to come clean.
Use a Woolie in the tight spots.A furniture duster works fine.
If you let them go your gonna have to go heavier brush and water pressure
My every other day brush combo.Yup,Still got the Crusty Dusty Pads

I use something very similar to the Speed Master Wheel Brush. There are two versions...a short and long length. You'd obviously want the long (or longest you can get) in order to clean the barrels of the rear wheels. Also take note of how tight the caliper is to the barrel of the wheel. Some brushes have a rather thick diameter rod where the bristles are and it will not fit between that tight spot.

Microfiber Madness had recently released a new set of microfiber wheel brushes called "Incredibrush". If you are concerned with scratching you wheels at all these might be a good alternative. They have a "flat" version to fit in to thigh spaces. Microfiber Madness Incredibrush Flat

One thing I can suggest if you haven't done it is to simply get your wheels coated with a wheel specific ceramic type coating. Trust me when I tell you it will make the chore of cleaning you wheels a night and day difference...especially if you still have the OE pads on the car. Also do your calipers while your at it. Any reputable detailing shop could do the job for you also.

Really liking these! All three lengths for $24. They work great.

Boofus,

Greetings, make your own or buy the vast assortment on the market, and use what works best. Been through a few in the past. After washing, I typically use a little spray wax or detailer to shine 'em up. Hands and fingers work great. Oh, I switched out my brake pads and there is noticeably less dust.

Maybe so, but I use their wash mitt and it's by far the best one I've ever had. Besides...if you're afraid to spend money on quality cleaning products you probably should not be owning a vette. ;)

Just passing along some different options for the OP.

Another vote for Wheel Woolies.
