I've stuck with AC Delco since buying the car new in 2004. I swap it out every 5 years with no problems.

Either AC Delco or Interstate would be good choices.

Where are you located?

4 + years on Delco. Agree with previous post, will change at 5 years.

I agree. That's what I put in my 04 C5.

5 years on my Exide and its still going strong. I will get a new one next spring. Most brands are as good as the next.

Anything the right size that says "AGM."

+ 1 I bought the Interstate from Costco. About $80.00...

:iagree:

I have the AutoCraft Platinum AGM Battery. It listed for around $179 less 30% off with their online coupon. Do a search for Advance Auto discount codes. To me it's worth spending a few dollars more on an AGM battery for peace of mind.

In June of this year, bought a new Delco 78AGM for $156 shipped, RockAuto. They're currently listing for $160.

lithium pros.... but you wont like the price....until you realize that they last much longer than lead acid... ;)

Interstate

AC Delco would be a good choice.

SaxyVette 11-13-2018 11:50 AM

Just did mine, I didn't want to spend maximum bucks, but like the OP wanted a good and dependable unit. My trusted Mech of many many yrs got me a Delco, just like an original equipped.

Walmart Everstart Maxx. Made by Johnson Controls. Excellent warranty and there is always a Walmart around if you need warranty exchange!

Dub D 11-13-2018 07:43 PM

C5 Battery

I agree with V6turbo 87 on Walmart. The MAXX is hard to beat on price and warranty. Just make sure of the size.

:iagree: They won't leak like a regular lead acid battery might.

runner140* 11-14-2018 06:20 AM

If not an AGM, look at the A C Delco Professional Series.
