Cleaning embroidery on headrest
I have a 07 z with black seats and silver/grey stitching and it has turned dark over the years. I would like to clean the stitching up and make it clean again. What would you guys suggest to do this?
this is specifically referring to the Z06 on the headrest thanks guys |
Use a mild cleaner, spray foam or liquid and a toothbrush for best results.
Make certain the brush is always moving in the direction of the threads of the stitching and not against to prevent any damage. |

I used a dilute solution of Oxy-Clean with the cleaning method described above (gentle massage with soft toothbrush in the direction of the threads). Dabbed it with a paper towel and stepped away for a bit and came back to see the finished product. Was quite happy. Careful to stay on the embroidery and not to scrub the surrounding leather so much, as it can flake.

ok i have some cleaning formulas, ill clean it with the least potent first & a clean tooth brush and see how it goes from there. It makes perfect sense to go with the stitching so i will do that as well and report back.
ill take before and after pics & post what cleaner showed the best results. thanks guys |
