My rear anti-roll bar snapped today

01 Base Vette

I did search FWIW, but felt I have a different question that what I was seeing results for.

My rear bar snapped as I was jacking the car, didn't know what the pop was until I took the car for a drive and felt what was wrong. I initially thought the pop was just the parking brake giving a little as the car lifted. Oh well, at least it didn't happen around a fast sweeping turn, lol. I replaced the shocks with Bilstein's last year and the OEM plastic end links with OEM metal ones. With that said, the car handled well enough for me as it was but wouldn't mind getting it a little flatter around the highway ramps =). I see that I can get a new Eibach anti-roll kit (front 29mm and rear 25mm bars) for $273 plus shipping right from Eibach at the time of this posting. This seems like a great price for what appears to be a firmer set of bars. There seems to be zero info out there about this kit and I was wondering if I was missing something obvious.

Thanks for reading.

* received bars and installed, very happy.

I have no info on the Eibach bars but I do have a stock '03 rear if you want to pay shipping from 36360. Just a thought.

Those are very similar to the 2000-04 Z51 sway bars, they work very well with the standard C5 setup 8.5/9.5 wheel widths. If you have wider tires I would go with the Z51 rear bars and either the z06 front or the C6 Z51 front bar. That would make for a very well balanced setup. If you are into serious autocrossing or HPDE then I would check with Stanopart.com and give him all you info and he can suggest the optimal setup for your type of driving.

Many here like the C-6 Z06 bars (and shocks). I have them on my 2001 and love them. I think they'll be a little less money.

:iagree: The C6 Z06 sways are a good choice.
