What is 1/4 mile time in a C7?
what is 1/4 times
|
Pretty broad question... stock, bolt on , air temps , DA all affect the time
|
Have you checked out the C7 fast list?
|
Zr1? Zo6? Stingray? GS? A8? M7?
anywhere from 12.3 to 10.50 depending on the model and transmission. |
Ran an 11.8 stock with a tune

If its a Stingray you'd be running down hill with a 100 mph tail wind. |

I ran 12.2 at 116.7 mph (2017 A8 grand sport ) that was the first time I have run 1/4 mile. I think playing with all the race setting I could do 12 flat.

Stingray. A8. Check the linked fast list above.
The 2 C7 Stingrays that are on the fast list going 11.37s are factory freaks at sea level, with perfect DA, in cool air, on a track like Atco running down hill, with excellent track prep. and a tail wind. GMs numbers for a C7 Stingray Z51 A8 are 11.7 and 12.1 for the M7 both about .1 faster then the base Stingray. Those are GMs good numbers. If you're going to cherry pick the fast lists 11.30s and you think all C7 Stingrays turn those then you probably think youre gonna win the lottery everytime you play. Good luck! :steering: |
I never stated the *I* ran 11.3. I answered the question that a bone stock LT1 Stingray can run 11.3.
|
These cars can be turds until you "wake" them up.

The issue with the C7 is TRACTION It has so much TQ and HP that you are left with a dilema
Either USE the traction control at launch and prevent any spinning or hopping to prevent potential damage and you will run about 12.00 to 12.20 Now if you turn the traction control OFF YES you have the potential to run in the mid to low 11's--However this takes many many trial runs to be able to hit the launch "just right" No hopping--Not to much spinning--but also just enough spinning to eliminate the bottom end bog---- |
Bone stock convertible.......ran 11.88@118.31. Not that difficult anyone can do it. You just have to eliminate enormous wheel spin. My very first pass at the same track was 12.14@114 with a high 1.8 sixty foot time and at which time I knew the could do better. Bradenton Motorsports is not a track where you can acquire best times for this car. Just my .02

Not that difficult ....???? LT 1 or ZO6 ???

Not that difficult ....???? LT 1 or ZO6 ??? N. LT1's all have the same horsepower. If you're an experienced drag racer it is not difficult at all. It's not the car but the driver. I was given instructions by Forum member, Snowman and accomplished 11.94 first time out. Snowman is on the fast list with 11.40s. Just a reminder those members were running their cars in the best conditions including the track itself. I can certainly tell you this...after I witness a C6 ZR1 make a 11.90 just before me, I was convinced that I would do a high 12 but no....11.94. And yes, the guy C6 ZR1 was having difficulty running a much better time. Having said that, the car runs 11's with some effort but it is not difficult. |
