1981 Corvette - Maryland

Although I don't want to sell her, I just don't have the time to work on her. I am selling my 1981 Corvette, white with 81,xxx miles, 350/auto. Original white paint that is "OK" with a few larger chip spots on passenger door and rubbed marks on front bumper. Car is mostly original other than valve covers, radio/speakers and air pump/emissions removed. Car runs great with a few electrical issues (center gauges recently stopped working after cluster was removed and replaced) which I will try to fix soon. I also have new parts for the car which will come with the sale, to include, complete front end rebuild kit, shocks for all 4 corners, poly bushings kit, poly body mount kit, new nose emblem and electric headlight conversion kit. I do not have the white tops but I do have the original glass tops. The car also has the V54 rack option, however, I do not have the racks. I also have the original paperwork/sales receipt and owners manual from the original owner. The vehicle spent most of its life in Texas. I am asking $9000 OBO. Thanks in advance, I want to give her to a good home. Buyer must pick up from Eastern Shore, Maryland. If I have forgot anything or you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

A bump for a clean, decently priced car....:flag:

Thanks Jim, not that well priced I guess lol

Have you tried Craigslist? Corvette Forum seems to be a great place to get your car adopted to a good home. Craigslist has a lot more views, but also a lot more false leads (you might get a lot of lowball emails). Both of the cars in my signature are from Craigslist.

Thanks Bikespace, I have not tried Craigslist but I don't know if I could get rid of her anyway, just too nice of a car with to low of miles lol.

Of course you now don't think you can get rid of it. Its only a few more weeks before spring/summer. So, drive it all summer and then in the fall try selling it again, for "summer price", and sit on it again next winter. Repeat process. It's a vicious cycle. Until you can figure out how much it bothers you to just let it sit, do you need the room, how bad you want to sell it and how much you are willing to let it go for you're stuck with it.....

It is negotiable as well

I realize things can happen but with your knowledge of the car and in your opinion do you feel the car could make the trip to Illinois free of problems??

shaun8484 05-18-2019 09:39 AM

Absolutely. She could drive back and forth a hundred times. Strong running car.
