C8 Deposit Accepted, 1st in the Country!

Hello everyone I know there has been lots and lots of post and threads on the C8 Mid Engine Corvette but I truly wanted to tell you I was able to put down a deposit on the Mid Engine!

I have proof in the video!

Sorry but other folks have posted, earlier this year, that they have a deposit on a new 2020 ME.

cgarnerspeed252 11-20-2018 09:55 AM

Well darn I wondered if they were telling the truth because I was told dealerships are just now accepting them! Interesting, are you considering the C8?

many have

Alot of us have had deposits or have been on lists!

If your deposit isn't with a high volume Corvette dealer with a lot of allocations!
It maybe awhile before you see a car!

Dealerships love the interest money they make on ME deposits.

WICKEDFRC 11-20-2018 10:30 AM

Congratulations. The easy part, is the wait.....

The hard part is if you like it or not.

Congrats but I think a ton of people have deposits with Mike furman for the ME car for years now lol.

Glenn Quagmire 11-20-2018 11:10 AM

I have several deposits...that go back to 2014!

Z0Sick6 11-20-2018 11:11 AM

I've had a deposit since June 18, 2014.

You are only 4.5 years behind

Really? My $500 deposit placed four years ago...has netted the dealership a whopping $1.60 per month :rofl:

How does this early deposit on a car that's not out work?
im interested in putting down a deposit but I am unfamiliar with the whole process. I'm thinking of putting down a deposit on a dealership that sells a decent amount of Vettes. How much needs to be put down. Is it refundable if you don't like the car or it turns out to be out of my budget, etc? Thank you in advance!

Looks like you should change the title of your video.

You've let a car dealership borrow your money interest-free for almost 5 years?

How nice of you!

Got an email from MACMULKIN laying out the rules for their deposit program $2000. I'll pass. It will be months before we even see the car and could be 15 months or more before it's available. I'll wait. They didn't mention paying any interest on the $2000 while it sits in their bank.

Supersonic 427 11-20-2018 12:58 PM

Why put a deposit for an unknown? We know much much less than we know about this car! Looks, price, engine, transmission,interior, etc. etc. I will wait till it is revealed and know if it is something that I like and can afford before laying any money down. I don't need to be the first on the block to have one.

Confused here...…

How does one put down a deposit on:
  1. a car that doesn't exist;
  2. a car that's going to be a Cadillac;
  3. a car that is going to start out at $169K?
:willy::rofl::thumbs:

Congratulations!

Z06_Ruff 11-20-2018 01:29 PM

Congrats Bro! Don't tempt me.... lol.
