Bilstein shocks for ‘94..any leads?
My car’s ride has been getting gradually worse especially with a passenger. Confirmed by Marc H that it needs shocks. I bought it with 13K mi in 2014, now has 63K mi daily driven in Chicago including winters if there’s no snow on the ground. I’m dreading driving it this winter with bad shocks. Word from Bilstein is they’re running the line Jan/Feb ‘19 but they’ve been pushing the date for a while now. Does anyone have a lead on existing stock for a ‘94? My spine and teeth will be forever grateful! |
You can try tirerack.com they had a couple of new ones a few months ago.

It looks like Bilstein finally produced the shocks after a 2 year backorder. They’re available at summit, ecklers and rockauto (cheapest). I should receive mine by next week then off to Marc. Hoping it’s the right part.

Can anyone please 100 % confirm these are available again? Rockauto states 3-day delay (I don't really know what that means).

Bought mine a few weeks ago from Rockauto. Just had them installed by Marc H and picked up the car yesterday.

Got the rears coming from Rock Auto. Fronts from Summit (I hope); drop ship from Bilstein.
|
good news, order placed.
BTW, I HATE this new out of state sales tax collection B.S.! |
Got my fronts from Summit. Rears from Rock auto.
These are correct FE3 shocks. Going on my "Spares" shelf. |
FYI, all four of mine came in from Rock Auto in less than a week.
|
I'm almost tempted to just put regular shocks on the front...I mean where am I going ? Even on the softest setting the car still rides hard...
