I am very seriously considering having a friend print us some t-shirts with this logo. We'll be going to the Detroit show in January. It will be even funnier if the car still hasn't been announced by then.

The FOB sure looks like the one we saw a couple of weeks ago that had the Cadillac emblem on it(that had a remote operated frunk button, etc).

Basically take the C7 emblem and squeeze the two flags together, removing the V space and you have the C8 emblem.

Yep... I like it, but was kind of hoping for something more radically different. At first glance they don't appear different.

Pretty much what CrabbyJ and Elegant have been saying for quite a while if I remember correctly.

With that this is what I just made by using the C7 emblem. IMO the emblem displayed on the key FOB is not balanced side to side thus looks to be a crude attempt, at least in this rendering.:flag:

Look close, distorted side to side. Is it real?

Not perfect but better balanced with greater detail.

My original emblem suggestion.

You missed that GM's emblem has a chrome "spear" in between the halves. It looks much better than a C7 emblem that's just distorted.

If Cadillac has a version, which I highly doubt, then the Blackwing logo would be sweet:

For elegant. :flag:
Basic 2D, would be better rendered in true 3D. But you get the idea. Not bad but I agree with Supersonic 427.

As to why I like the “V” shaped emblem the best is how better than for Chevrolet and the Corvette Team to honor the Americans who served in WWII than to use that shape in celebration of the Victory in the Pacific that ended either 8/14/1945 or 9/2/1945. 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of V-E and V-J. Remarkably, those same Americans are the ones who developed and gave us the first Corvette C1 in 1953. Now, as we enter a new era with the ME, which incidentally may be delivered to us beginning around Aug/Sept 2020, it would be a fitting tribute. :flag:

New logo looks bad, the shape is like some sort of silly lightning bolts joined together rather than flags.

The C7 logo was great- no need to change the logo with each gen (most high end sports cars don't).

elegant 11-29-2018 04:56 PM

Thank you CRABBYJ for your above post, and thank you for being way ahead of the curve and predicting correctly what the ME’s emblem would be more than six months ago.

Well done!

I prefer the C1, C2, C3 emblems when flags looked like flags.
