ZR1 Autocross Setups?
 

Hey everyone this year I have recently switched over from auto crossing my 03 cobra to my 90 zr1. While the mustang was fun and modded quite well the cobra just wasn't cutting it. So one day I put my 275 and 315 nt01 on the Z and well I've got the bug bad this car is great out of the box but as with all things time to make the car better. Just wondering if anyone has any input to what they had their car setup like? The car will be in BSP so I was going to go with a 35 mm vansteel front bar, new poly bushings everywhere, hp plus pads and ss lines with good fluid and A7's. I am on the fence as far as sizes I am thinking 295 front 315 rear a7s, or 315 front 335 rear a7's. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. Some action shots for attention.

Great pic. I agree that the C4 is a great handling, great performing and FUN car for auto-x, stock. I love mine and it places better than my '06/C6 did. :thumbs:

I have 315 front 335 rear hoosiers 17 CCW race rims

the tires are getting old and I need to sell the rims I'll take 2000

Tires have some minor cracking around the sidewalls so I wouldn't race them

I'd also add looking at the DRM Camber and Strut rod brackets, which help keep more of the tire surface on the ground throughout your suspension's range of motion. For short drives such as autocross, you should be able to use 315s up front without cooking your PS fluid, They are significantly harder on your PS pump and rack. I'm sure you've already changed your alignment for the track.... Would think you might try something more on the pads like Hawk Blues with your sticky tires.
