Tow Hooks Installation for 2016

Are there threaded receptacles to install Tow Hooks already there behind the front grill and the rear bumper on a 2016 base Stingray?

All z51 and z06 have them from 2015 and on 2014 z51 didn't have the front. Base model don't have the front I had to get the parts from ZL1 that sales the tow hooks & I put it in the front. THEY ALSO SALE THE PIECE THAT IS NEEDED TO DRILL A HOLE OUT THEN YOU ONLY HAVE TO PUT A NUT WITH A WASHER ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FRONT BUMPER BRACE TO HOLD THIS IN PLACE... Robert

My ‘17 base stingray had neither front nor rear threaded.

My 17 Stingray Z51 the front is threaded. I have not pulled the rear cover to check that one due to fear of scratching the car.

Your question was already answered by Ernie and the others I thought

2014 and 15 Z51 , ZO6 , And ZR1 have the tow hook receivers and in 2016 the Base was added to the list

Anyone have a 2016 base C7 that has installed tow hooks??

Can you please confirm if the threaded receivers are already there in the front and rear are there?

A little late with my reply, but I have a 2016 Base. I don't believe there is a tow hook receptacle in the rear, and I"m 100% certain there isn't one in the front because I installed the aftermarket receptacle from ZL1 Addons.

I don’t have the tow hook receiver from the factory and didn’t realize when I bought my Tow Hook.

So I’ve studied the process to remove the front fascia and bolt on a receiver but didn’t want to go through the process to remove my front aero package and rivets etc.

I don’t track my car and I just like the look for appearance reasons only so I needed to be creative to find a solution and here it is.

The hardware is silver but this is the trial run and I drove the car about 60 miles to see how it would hold up or stay in place and it worked perfectly. I now will try to find the washers in black or just paint the silver ones black so that they blend in which I likely will do since HomeDepot didn’t have black ones.

Disclaimer Alert! This Install is for Appearance Looks ONLY and CANNOT be used to tow!

Incorrect. Base models don't have it.

You don't have to remove front aero bits nor rivets to pull the front bumper. It all comes out with the bumper, if anything, undo the undertray at the k member. If you have stage 3 splitter end caps you have to disconnect them but that's easy.

And in my opinion, tow hooks for looks are about as ricer as it gets.

why would your aero package affect the removal?
