cause an idiot will pay that price..

You can still find decent running beaters under 15K, some pretty decent looking ones for 20-30K, and nice restorations for under 60K.

I'm not sure how hard you have to be hit on the head to spend 200K on a Bronco.

Really!!! 6 figures for a Ford Bronco! Maybe $25-$40k at the most. And there are people who have too money to know the difference which makes it harder for the average fellow to acquire a "toy" for a reasonable price.

Because some people don't WANT a vehicle that's 28 feet in length for offroad use...

What you ask and what you will take can be miles apart. Old Broncos that are still intact are scarce in many parts of the country. There are people with too much money. Pro athletes with multi million dollar contracts ...." Deliver it, and my wife will write a check" Young making stupid money the thought that may change doesn't exist. 45 2exs and struggling ...where did all the money go?

Lars the early bodys were all square corners and salt and rust really took a toll ...V-8 s were very tricky to drive and top heavy..

Deep pockets do not guarantee a decent set of smarts.

Ford is now allowing this company to "make" old broncos. Of course they are charging between 120 and 180K for these new kit cars.

Icon has been doing that sort of thing for awhile now.
Thankfully the wife already has a real fj40 before the prices went stupid.It still has its born with factory tub and factory a/c.(You can see a glimpse of it in my avatar)

Most of the ones on that site are highly upgraded(coyote engines, modern transmission etc.) and have just come out of restorations so I can see why they're asking so much. Still way to high but I guess the guy is looking for a big profit on each one. Sad thing is, if you bought one of those and and all stock restoration done to a similar level and waited 10 years the all stock one will most likely have appreciated while the modified one will have lost value.

Speaking of FJ40s, kinda feel sorry for the guys who spent 6 figures on them a few years back and now have a truck that they would struggle to got 40k for now. Gotta be careful about buying particular model when the market is artificially high, I feel like guys buying early 911s now will find themselves in the same boat a few years from now.

They have become a hot commodity, they are very cool and many people love them and there are only so many available.

Simple economics.................. supply and demand.

Just wait till the old rich guys really feel this stock market. All the overpriced classic cars will be for sale for pennies

That's when they'll be buying them up, that's why the'yre rich.
