Mods that won't void warranty

Like the title says, What bolt ons can you do which would not void the warranty? Doing some research on the C7Z before making purchase...

Only ones I’ve been comfortable with is a BMS Filter, ported TB,Borla Xpipe and MGW shifter. I don’t see any issue that these could cause. Also completely reversible if needed.

Anyone know if ported TB and x-pipe are legit in California?

Shouldn’t have any issue with a TB. The Xpipe is most likely won’t pass in CA.

Depends what you mean by legit. The ported TB is not legal under the letter of the law. However, if it does not throw a code, don't see how they would know without disassembly.

I have the BMS filter, mamo pt and full exhaust and live in Cali, for smog put your stock xpipe and good to go. ofx its "illegal" but its like window tints no one cares

Callaway SC757 Z06 Package does not void or "block" a GM Powertrain Warranty. It's also 50 State Emissions compliant, salable in the Golden State.

For info, please visit www.callawaycars.com or info@callawaycars.com

Thanks

only 2 things will void warranty for sure, non GM tune, and a catch can.now slings and arrows will come from vendors who sell those, especially catch cans.you can get the most out of your stock tune with a CAI,,ported TB and a xpipe..your car will preform better and smoother, and sound meaner.your $20000 motor is not worth the few exta horsepower you pick up with a tune.it sucks that a catch can voids the warranty because that keeps oil out of your supercharger and stops deposits on top of your valves and valve guides do to a poor gm design.but those are their rules.

You’re not really interested in what you can do without voiding the warranty. You want to know what you can “get away with”.. lol. That varies by dealership.

Anything you do to increase the power output of the car is cause enough for them to be able to deny ANY powertrain warranty claim. What can you truly do with no worries of denial? The GM performance intake I think is all you can do thats “approved” by GM.

so you are using the 650+ hp all the time now?

just turn the nannys off and try that for a week or two

agree, I was told by one dealer a ported TB and/or a catch can will void warranty . If there's a way GM can void your warranty especially for a large claim they will
