65 Vent Glass Mounting Strips

After placing the mounting strips around the glass, I pushed the glass into the frame. For some reason it does not seem like that should be all that I should have done. Seems like the glass would slide out when the vent is open. Did I miss something or was it really this easy to do?

Thanks,
Dex.

I have installed these Dex. Should be a pretty snug fit.
Can you pull the glass back out by hand?
If No, all is good. If Yes, there is an issue.

If I pulled real hard then I probably could but it's not easy. If that's all good then all I need to do is trim it.

Thanks,
Dex.

You will know if the vent window is seated completely in the frame when you go to close it it should fit in the opening perfectly if not it is not all the way back into the stainless steel frame. I use a rubber mallet with the stainless steel frame backed up with a piece of wood. Works every time.

I installed them yesterday and today and I noticed that the glass doesn't quite close all the way. I'll do as you've suggested, when I get some more free time.

Thanks,
Dex.
