C5 chrome intake manifold cover
Anyone producing these today?
|
I have not seen anyone advertising them for quite a while. I thought one was for sale in the Parts for Sale section not long ago but I would imagine it sold quickly. You may want to post a Wanted to Buy thread in the C5 Parts for Sale/ Wanted Section and see what response you get. |

Is this what you're looking for?

Sorry brother |
I just happened to be looking for the same parts. |
You know, I was just thinking about an episode of Counting Cars where Ryan did some painted chrome bumpers on a caddy I believe it was. I also called RPI back when I was looking and they told me the reason they stopped chroming them was because it didn't hold up due to heat. I don't know if the chrome paint would either, but might be something to check into. |

I hope someone starts making them again. I've had one in my C5 from RPI for over 10 years and 90k miles without any discoloration but it does have a few chips in the chrome finish thanks to me dropping a tool on it so wouldn't mind replacing it.
