Transparent top treatment?
 

I've applied Rain-X over all external glass to aid in winter cleaning but not to the plastic "blue" top.

Does anyone know if it would do any damage to apply such treatment to that surface?

Rain X is fine.

Now, if you have "crazing" and want to make your top damn near show...

1) Wet sand with 1000 grit. Wipe off
2) West sand with 1500, Wipe off
3) Buff with "fine cut" compound, wipe again
4) Use a decent wax for final application

60 minutes and it really makes a difference

This car's top doesn't have the "crazing". From your restoration technique maybe I'll just give it a good cleaner & wax job.
