Anyone ever purchase from this BUYAVETTE in Atlanta, GA?

Some of their C4's have "FREE 2 YEAR/50K ADDITIONAL MILE WARRANTY WHEN PURCHASED AT ADVERTISED PRICE, GOOD AT ANY REPAIR FACILITY NATIONWIDE!" - I'm sure there's plenty of small print to void them from paying a claim.

Sure, I would pay that if they gave me $995,000 for a stock 2004 C5 coupe on trade!

$1m... :crazy2:

glbeauchamp 12-27-2018 02:44 PM

Is it April 1st already?! Where did the time go?

DDaaryl 12-27-2018 03:12 PM

What a treasure. Lets bury it!

JR-01 12-27-2018 03:43 PM

I think $100K would be more in line.

I've seen this before, I'm surprised it hasn't sold in that time
There is no way in heck that will sell at that price, I would think it would be a hard sell at $100K. Plus it's an automatic :U

There are a lot of collectors out there that would want that car. It is special. It amazes me sometimes what some cars go for at Barrett Jackson. $100K would be the most I think it would go for. Not so special it's worth a million.

doublenut9 12-27-2018 05:26 PM

100k would be a steep price I would think. Sure it is unusual, but not "that" unusual!.

It is the last C5 and it's brand new. The owners think its worth a million so 1/10 of that price might be what it's really worth.

It would take someone with a huge ego to pay an exorbitant price for a car that was built for eight years and it’s only distinction is that it was the last one made, realizing this would be a desirable car to own in its own right.

It’s marketing, gets attention (even if YOU think it’s bad).

They’d accept $300k.

I know that.

Make an offer.

JR-01 12-27-2018 08:28 PM

The last C2 sold for $660K at Barrett jackson in 2017, so the last C5 might be worth 1/10 of that..

When the last C5 is 50 years old in 2054, who knows!

Mickeyrx70 12-27-2018 10:13 PM

I’m buying it ... just have to wait for my next pension check.

Is there a "smoking crack" emoji?

PureJoy 12-28-2018 11:27 AM

I got my C5 (with nothing historically interesting about it) for $991000 less & l don't like blue so they can keep it!!!

What they ask and what they get can be a vastly different number. In this case, I think they are grossly overpriced.

I will take it if & when i win the lottery holf it for me

When someone spends $1,000,000 they are making an investment. When making an investment, there's an expectation of an increase in value, i.e. a return. That Corvette has zero chance of making a return. If it was being sold to benefit a charity, maybe it could reach $500,000. As an investment, the $100,000 or maybe a tad higher is realistic, expecting it to grow to $150,000 in a few years. Only a fool would buy that car for $1,000,000.
As a fun expenditure, I'd rather buy a low mileage C5 coupe plus a low mileage C5 vert plus a low mileage C5 Z06, 2004 commemorative edition and still have over $900,000 to spend on whatever.
