I want a crate LS3 to put into my 1965 C10 pickup, was thinking a new magnum T56 would be best with it, however I found this kit from PSI conversion that says it controls LS3 and 4L60-e.

First can a 4L60-e handle a LS3, I'm thinking one would need to be built up some.

Also I read it's hard to tune stuff that isn't factory, not sure what the transmission controller is in this kit, I would hate to spend all that $ new crate engine, built 4L60-e and this PSI conversion controller kit to find it can't be tuned properly.

Anybody know about these or any tuners have any input?

I’ve heard good and bad about psi. I hate chasing electrical problems so I went with speartech. I needed everything from the gas pedal to engine and trans computers. It was pricey but has worked flawless. If you leave the LS3 stock and don’t turn high rpms, the 60e should live but an 80e with a $150 hd2 kit would be much better.

Basically a shift kit. That in a good 4l80 will handle 700-800rwhp.
