For Sale: 1990 C4 ZR1 with 30K miles for $19K
 

1990 ZR1 with 30K miles was owned by my Dad since the early 90's. It spent most of the last 20 years in a garage. He shipped it to me prior to his death in March of 2017. I have recently sent the car to Steve Schroder at Crossed Flags Performance (frequent poster here) for complete and thorough inspection and repair to bring this car back to original form. I am unable to keep the car because I have a young family and we are relocating soon and I won't have the time to enjoy it. The second best option has been to bring the car back to it's original form and get it to someone that will enjoy it...something my Dad would have wanted.

I can send all of the information (excel format) that Steve collected on the car along with some performance data.

Selling it for $21000 $19000 which will be firm as I have invested a good bit of money in achieving the goals mentioned above.

All these geeks worried about wheels..LOL... Are you going to post a list of repairs/ improvements the shop completed?

Would help everyone know what we are dealing with and if anything else needs to be done.

Such a beautiful car. Shame you have to sell it. Would be great to hang onto it and pass it on to one of your children. The time you could spend in the car with them and going to shows will last a lifetime. Been there and have some great memories. I spend a lot of time with my kids in my cars and the Corvette is very popular. We are making memories that will last a lifetime.

Not worried, just noticed, and asked. Guess in your opinion it takes a geek to bring it up.

Just a suggestion, update the asking price in the original post so people see it as soon as they open this thread. Good luck, sure looks great!

Should sell pretty quick at $19k. The only thing that might slow it down is not everyone wants that much red. But I say "Red is the gods' color."

THANKS. We returned the car back to factory appearance, (removed the black accents/lights etc etc), in the process of a good detail job in and out. The car runs and drives great. The aluminum fly wheel did take a bit of getting used to on take offs, but its all good now. Car is fun to drive and luckily, almost ALL of the typical ZR1 idiosyncrasies have been resolved. Loyd's dad and Loyd himself did a good job of keeping the car repaired and maintained.

It'll be a fun Summer car for my dad for sure.
