Shelby wheels are on!
Well I finally got off my lazy ass and put on the Shelby wheels I picked up last year (while the car was at Pete's getting the 391 built). They look really good! Now I just need to replace the 10 year old Michelins that are one them.

One more shot that turned out pretty good. |
Wow. Those wheels make a good looking car even better.

ZR-1 is looking sharp Evan:thumbs:

Wow!
With the 391 under the hood..."Something wicked this way comes!" |
Those wheels give it a great look! Did you do anything with the suspension to lower it?

Wow, that looks fantastic! Also one of the best color for those cars to me
Ride height looks perfect IMHO, I would not go any lower (but that's just me, also worrying about going over road obstacles). Really curious about that engine mod, sounds wicked; is there already a thread on it? (and hopefully a video to hear it :) ) |
I would not be disappointed to say the least. The Steel Blue and those wheels on that car just make the package complete!! Fantastic!!

Motor is a closed deck 391 cubic inch built by Pete in Chicago. Fully ported top end and heads, long tube headers and his stage 2 cams. Haven't dynoed it yet, but it ran 176MPH in the Mile and 152MPH in the 1/2 Mile. Should be making over 600HP (especially since the 1/2 and 1 mile times are right in line with what stock C6 ZR1s do). Car has a little over 100K miles, but has been pretty much fully restored. Full body disassembly and repaint in 2016/17 donor interior from a low mileage interior in 2017, and now the full motor rebuild by Pete (plus fixing a bunch of other little issues). Video of start up when I picked it up at Pete's 1 Mile run: |

totally awesome !! the Trap speeds even more so !

Thanks Evan70 and 1993C4LT1 for the link, info & videos, the car sounds like a real beast under cover, love it.
I'll go read the thread on ZR1.net also. |
