SEVENTH GENERATION: Z06 in Central Coast, CA
I'm currently shopping for a used C7 Z06 (or used C6 ZR-1) in Central Coast, CA...live about 40 miles south of San Jose and 20 miles in land as the crow flies from Laguna Seca. Color is not a a deal-breaker in any way, but do prefer WATKINS GLEN, TORCH if i had the choice easily available.
Prefer mileage 5-6,000 or less but up to 15 is do-able. Also prefer NO HISTORY of warranty-voiding mods. i'm describing the sort of mods of that degree, not like a new cat-back exhaust for example. i don't want them to have EVER been done, and nothing salvaged. BUT if i had good enough verification that the vehicle had high quality work done and high quality parts, then modding would not be a deal-breaker....such as for example Fletcher Cox's ZR-1 ad shown here in the "C6 For Sale" section. As far as what qualifies as "good enough", i suppose it's like the Supreme Court's loose definition of pornography: "i know it when i see it!" i'm leaning more in the direction of a used C7 Z06 with Z07 but i'm certainly looking at ZR-1 too. a good enough situation for either would 'probably' guide my choice in that direction...depending on how long i've been waiting. I have been kicking around the idea of selling my C7. What are you looking to spend? mine is a 17' M7 with about 9k miles but it is white... I really only replied because I live in Santa Cruz county so we're fairly close to eachother. |
If you find that Z06 in Phoenix appealing, I would suggest contacting Forum Member FNBADAZ06 who is a total car guy that I have personally met.
He lives in Phoenix and may be close enough to look that vehicle over for you if you should consider that Z06 in your list. No promises though. |
