Speculation on Undervalued Cars
Speculation on which cars will soon appreciate is certainly a gamble; so which cars do you guys think is currently undervalued and will soon appreciate in the next 5-10 years? For me, there’s novelty in owning a fun car that can at least hold it’s value. I thimk the Baby Boomer market has likely peaked for the cars they want (1950-1970s muscle and exotics), and the Gen X desireables are starting to appreciate (1980-2000 predominantly). My picks: Ferrari F430 Lamborghini Murcielago Porsche 997 |
As soon as my investments in lottery tickets pay off, I'll look into this line of "investment."

The tech kids (20-30 years old) here are putting a ton of money out buying resto mods. Don't know how long that fascination will last, but there is money to be made it in that area now.

That’s certainly good news that there is a young market for 60s-70s cars. I’ve completely missed the boat on older Porsche’s, exotics, and muscle cars that I feel are all at or near peak prices. I believe an F430 or 997 would be a pretty safe purchase to at least hold it’s value over the next 5-10 years. I’m skeptical that the C6 Z06 will bottom in the high $20k’s. Some of the unique submodels of later cars give me hope as well: CTSV wagon, BMW 1M as mentioned, gen 5 Viper ACR, etc. |

The srt ram sure, the harley... maybe, the lightning definitely though. The problem is finding them clean and low miles. Most of then are pulley swapped and longtubes, with a bunch of miles and such.

Supra and RX7s are already expensive collector cars though. I agree about the terminators, those are still expensive (and most are modded like crazy), but the few survivors likely have room to grow in price.
