Quadrajet 7044223 FH 2203 For sale.

Selling a Quadrajet Carburetor for a 74 Big Block Chevy, with Manual Transmission, created on day 203 of 1973 if my calculations are correct.

It came with 72 project car I picked up. Carb was not on the car at the time of the sale, but appears to have been kept fairly clean.

Parts are not seized. Has a light "protective coating" on it that I have not removed so original finish may be preserved, if cleaned carefully. May need a carb kit, from Cliff or Lars.

Asking $225.00 + $20 shipping.

I have a 1976 4 speed and think your carb may work since it's listed (704223) for a 1975. A 76 4 speed listed numbers are 17056211. Any thoughts? I can also be reached by text/call at 248-760-2647. Thanks

The NCRS Corvette Spec guide shows several Rochester carburetors for 4 speed cars. Your number 17056211 is one of them. The 72 Carb is set up for a 4 speed. So, you would not have to plug any vacuum lines on the carburetor.

I believe the choke setup is a bit different. You would have to check your intake manifold. Jetting may also be different.

If you want the carb, I have a carb kit and will take $225 for the carb and throw in the kit for free. Shipping is about $10-12 via USPS from 53045.

Thanks.

Fred

Sting, you are probably better off finding a correct number carb if you are trying to keep the car numbers matching - meaning as original as possible. If you ever plan to sell your 76, keep your original parts. :)
