ECO Mode?
I normally drive my '18 Grand Sport in the Sport Mode and I'm pretty happy with the performance and ride. Yesterday I went for a ride (~100 miles) and out of curiosity, put it in the Eco Mode. The ride softened a bit, but other than that, I couldn't tell much difference.
Can anyone tell me what is supposed to happen in the Eco Mode and what is gained or lost as far as performance or efficiency? |

Check the attached for what happens during ECO mode...hope that helps....

It puts the magnetic ride and e-diff in the same mode as Touring and it let's the engine go into 4-cyl mode more than it would in other modes. If you have an M7, this is the only mode where your engine will go into 4-cyl mode.

I just wonder why it doesn't drop to V4 at idle, as that would save some go-juice as well. |

When the engine shifts into 4 cylinder mode is there an indication on the drive display?
