New seat covers installed

Just finished my new seat cover install I got from Ridies. Seats done in Napa Leather and Alcantara inserts with Lt Oak two tone and Lt Oak top stitch. Install wasn't bad but took me 2 evenings after work. I am happy with them, really changes the look from the solid plain seats and comfort level is spectacular.

A great job, those seats have a very upscale look and the colors are perfect for your car - well done!
Did you have any difficulties with the seat airbags?

C6Whatever 01-10-2019 12:31 AM

They look really good. You did a good job.

Did you install them yourself, if not what did it cost to have them installed?

thanks...no airbag issues. I followed a 3 part YouTube video and was confident of no issues. I will link to the video later.

Nice!

This is the video I used...covers most aspects pretty well even though I was not doing the 2012 mod...the steps are the same.

I have a set coming in a couple of weeks. The install on the backs should be pretty straight forward, it's the bottoms that have me a little worried. I may need to PM you for some tips when I get to that point.

The bottoms are pretty easy. Here’s my post: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...e-arrived.html

hi. I know this is an older post but I was wondering what the light color is you picked out and if you don’t mind me asking about what they cost.

thanks
lisa

Doesn't matter as Ridies has only one shade in that color. Their color selection is somewhat limited.

Thanks for bumping up this old thread. The finish is starting to wear off my driver's seat and I was just wondering where I could get a decent seat of covers. Now I know where to start looking.

EDIT: Okay this is probably a stupid question but how do I know if I have the standard or sport seats? Never knew there was a difference until I started looking at replacements. My GS is a 3LT if that makes a difference.

2008 Corvette 01-09-2021 09:09 PM

Side air bags are sport seats.
