Chevrolet Has A Free Gift For C7 Corvette Owners

free Onstar for 3 months, but there is a minor catch:

Just don't trust myself

to remember to cancel after three months and I know that's part of their logarithms to make this profitable.....

HooosierDaddy 01-11-2019 05:05 PM

I can't remember to cancel the plan I have, no way I'm signing up for anything else.

I would imagine this is a marketing trial balloon. If this program doesn't draw them in like flies, GM will up the ante till they get a few more nibbles.

I would NEVER give either OnStar nor XM/Sirius a CC

NEVER

We would be more than pleased to give them your CC #. No need for you to go to all this trouble. Pass along your CC # and we'll get it done.

Will that cover the payment to ensure my International Lottery winnings from Nigeria will arrive in a timely manner?

AGREED!!! .... I've been paying SiriusXM by mailed INVOICE, and just recently let it lapse on purpose, .. to get them to make a better offer. Instead, ... they charged my CC from years ago, that I demanded, and they swore they had deleted from their systems!!!

Aside from accident notification, ... how useful is this service? I mean, what does it do for you? I'll probably get the free month, ..but only because it's free. Also, ...why does my car always say it's connceted to Wifi Hotspot, ...when I'm not paying for any services as far as I know!?

If your car is ever stolen they can track it down. I was told if I did not have this service they would not help me even if my car was stolen. Regarding WiFi, I imagine if the Onstar service can put you in touch with a operator then it dould certainly connect you to the Internet via satellite. This is how DirecTV operates right? Diagnosis monitoring and vehicle service recommendations is another feature. The other service it offers is lockout protection. If you accidently lock your FOB in the car or lose your FOB they can open the door for you.

I'll pass. Don't have an active OnStar subscription now.

The cynic in me says that if your car is stolen you could immediately sign up for the service and have it tracked.

Yeah, and I didn't want what came with it! :ack:
