I cannot recommend SCT. I know of several cases where ECUs were bricked on LS engines because the controller froze midway in uploading data. SCT might have fixed this, but I have no hands on experience with it.

HPT is my choice and recommendation. I cannot recommend a cold air intake. Being in Dubai, regardless of the intake you use (unless it is refrigerated), you cannot overcome ambient air temperature once over 32*C. Then, timing will be reduced regardless of the intake, or no intake at all....just physics. On an LS2, you can improve breathing somewhat with a cold air intake, but only when ambient air temps fall below 30*C.

keep it stock.

To be safe from ingesting dust, I'd recommend a Z06 or LS3 intake with the stock filter. Nothing else filters better. If you want cooler than underhood air, then prop the shroud open (search $2 propped shroud) and use a Halltech beehive or fabricate something similar to keep the engine compartment clean.

LS3 Air intake with reusable filter and Diablo tuner!!! BIG improvement.
