2020 C7 coming?

does anyone know if there will be a 2020 C7 or are they done after 2019? I want to order one and have to wait for a bit but don't want to wait too long.

No one but GM knows...PERIOD

MMD 01-11-2019 06:31 PM

The longer you wait the more likely you will run into manufacturing constraint problems. Keep this in mind.

I'd buy it as soon as you can. You never know what GM is going to do, unless you buy new off the lot or used. The market is flooded with C7 on the lots, but ordering one down the road may be a different story, like said GM only knows for sure.

Get one now and enjoy it.

I watched the movie "American Original" this morning. The implication is the 2019 ZR1 is the last of the C7's or the last front engine Corvette specialty car. By the way "American Original" is hosted by the guys from "Everyday Driver" on You Tube. They drive 13 'Vettes from a '54 C1 to a '19 ZR1, discussing and displaying the history of the Corvette. I enjoyed it.

The Bash in April will have 2020 model cars on display, whatever they are going to be. So unless it's announced prior to that, we will find out in April!

I ask Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet basically the same question. He said he didn't know when the order banks would close for the '19 model year, and what was going to happen when the mid-engine car is introduced. I will say this without reservations, if Mike doesn't know, nobody knows. So, like the other have said, don't put your decision off to long. You my be out of luck if you do. Good luck.

And GM might eliminate a popular color like they did with Watkins Glen Gray. I'm glad I got my 2019 when I did.

yep, color and options are constraints you can miss out on at the end of a generation run.

Check Mike F

I just bought a 19 Grand sport from Mike last week, if a teacher in the family, extra cash off beyond his awesome price. Throw in any GM card points and drive away feeling terrific! Thanks again Mike!

Shadow gray replaced Watkins gray.

Hi,

Car I bought was shadow gray, awesome! Replaced Watkins gray... almost the exact same, except blue metallic flake vs green. So if you prefer gray blue it’s a home run ! If you like greener gray Watkins was the color.

Hope that helps.

Spent about an hour and a half at a Chevy dealer yesterday. The focus is on prepping for a 2020 mid engine Corvette. There was no talk of a 2020 C7, and lots of talk about aggressive pricing to get their remaining 2019’s out the door. Selling ‘Vette’s in this part of the world is tough right now. Cold temps = no test drives.

Actually, I'd say watkins is more of a silver flake vs the blue flake in the shadow gray - the reason a lot of pics of the watkins gray looks green is because the silver flake is very reflective and many pics of are near lots of green (grass, trees, etc). If you look at pics of watkins grey in a neutral environment (like a garage) there is zero green.

Being in Michigan, wanting Museum Delivery, and the weather being what it is, I've got no choice really but to wait until mid-February to order for an April delivery.
