OP, all fluids, belts, tires if dates are past...

Congrats...you have a wonderful Corvette...maintain it as you would any other vehicle...check all belts and tire pressure and other fluids...if you do not know how to do that then do some research and learn...it is pretty basic once you learn...Google is your friend...YouTube is also helpful...if you are smart, you will not ask about the "small stuff" in open forum...lots of jokesters here that mean no harm and usually give a newbie entertaining answers instead of helping...also be careful of who you listen to...there are way too many so called self professed mechanics here...:if you have any more "small stuff" questions, PM me...i will try to help or guide you to the "right People"...:cheers::flag:

I have this car in a vert with manual. Similar story, old guy, one owner. He traded it for a 2015. I love it and it commands the attention of the opposite sex like no one's business!

You’ve received some good advice on what needs to be done. Good luck with your new C5 - they are a lot of fun to own.

I also have a 2004 CE. There was a fuel tank cross over issue on some 2004. VIN range is 45110258 through 45125500. GM addressed it with an extended warranty of 10 years or 100K miles.They only fixed it if it actually occurred. You might check if you are in that vin range and if the repair was made.
Other than than that I have had the car since new. Now 117K miles with very few problems.

I think that would be 10 years from date it was purchased by original owner. So it would be out of warranty by now.

I agree with your choice! I got mine in March of last year. I'd take it to a Corvette shop, change all the fluids and give it a good inspection. Although I have never had a problem (yet) many members have had issues with the harmonic balancer.

That's my 04 Z right behind the silver car ,this is at COTA in Austin TX . a few years all stock 04 Comm. Z was hitting 155 /MPH in some places . You have just brought a out of the box from GM race car.. Just change the fluids and treat it like any GM car some treat them like babes ,I drove mine like GM intended it to be used one bad ass hot rod.. Super cool ride .. and I work on them as well . Just ask some of us know stuff some just think they do .. Don't take too long to figure do is who ..

I'd take a good long look at the tires, besides the possible flat-spotting from sitting, they may be dated-out. Enjoy the new machine man! :cheers:

super simple easy answer - change ALL the fluids. By all, I mean ALL!!!!! power steering/diff/tranny/clutch/brakes/coolant/engine oil

Inspect bushings for dry rot particularly lower hanging ones as well as sway bar endlinks - probably should replace w/ greasbale moog links

look for any sign of water leaks in passenger footwell and around battery tray area
