New to me 2011 JSB GS!
Hi everyone. I've been lurking on the forum for a few months now, so I thought I'd go ahead and finally show off my car. First time corvette owner. I saw it at the Route 66 Mother Road Festival car show in Springfield, IL last fall. It wasn't for sale, but it was what I had been looking for, a Jetstream Blue Grand Sport with a manual tranny. So I messaged the owner and asked if he'd be willing to part with it and we worked out a deal. Since I've got it, I've tinted the windows, painted the brake calipers red and just finished painting the fuel rail covers JSB. It's currently stock except for a K&N cold air intake and Corsa Sport axle back exhaust. I'm hoping to add a centrifugal supercharger, long tube headers and x-pipe soon. Anyway, love the car so far and really appreciate this forum. Currently have a about 8" of snow here, so it's going be sitting for a while. C'mon spring!

What a way to buy your future car... love it. Nice looking ride. I've always loved that color! Yep, I'm down in Highland, Il., and have mine tucked away for the winter. We got almost a foot last night and today.

Beautiful vette, how did you prep and paint barrels?
|
Beautiful vette, I need to start one of these threads too. I was down to JSB or SSB, ended up with a SSB GS, you just know it when the right one comes along. Congrats.
Love those FR covers. |
Beautiful!!
|
Sharp car and congrats on the (relatively) new car for you!
|
 looks great - my 2nd favorite C6 color |
Beautiful, love that color

For the wheel barrels, I removed all the old wheel weight sticky residue, gave them a good scrubbing, sanded them down and then painted them with good ol' rustoleum aliminum paint. I painted over the current wheel weights as well to make them visually disappear. I like this method because it makes them easy to maintain and keep looking like new.

She's a beauty. And great job on the rail covers.
I looked and looked for an SSB GS MT but wasn't able to find one. Any of the blue colors look stunning on the C6. |
Very nice! Congrats!

Beautiful color, congrats and best of luck! |
gets my vote  |
Congrats to you, sir! Great story about how you acquired it. I like the fact that you saw what you wanted and pursued it.

Congrats!! Car looks amazing!!

Fuel rail covers look great, did you do that yourself? If so, can you pass along some details
Congrats on a beautiful GS! |
This is the exact car that keeps me up at night, right down to the calipers. JSB is, in my opinion, the most beautiful color I've seen on a Corvette. I hope to add a JSB GS to the stable sometime this year. Congrats!
