Fuel stabilizer...
Finally got to stabilizing the fuel in my Corvette and got to thinking with two fuel tanks am I only having this product active in one of the tanks? I ran the car for 10 minutes after adding in hoping it will treat both tanks...anyone have the answer to this question. Greetings to all, Rob

Don't worry. After a few miles you are Good to go. It only takes a couple of miles for it to transfer into both tanks. I usually top my tank of before storage ( That's a whole nother debate) and by the time I get from the pump to home both tanks are good. |
I never got a chance to drive car with stabilizer but was hoping just idling in garage for 10 minutes will do the trick. Will that suffice?

Yes, idle for 10 minutes or so will suffice.. |
Really? In another thread, it was suggested to put stabilizer in at about a 1/3 of a tank and then fill it up to distribute the stabilizer. I'm not saying that is right, I'm just saying that's what allot of other member have said.

If you ran the car for 10 minutes or so you won't have any problems. I've done this for nearly 30 years, both with single tank and twin tank Vettes and all is good. The stabilizer will go through both tanks without any special attention. Yes, if you put it in before you fill the tank you won't have to worry about overfill when you add the stabilizer after the pump shuts off. Just put it in, run it and sleep well. |
