I’m in marketing and sometimes I slip in an error or two just to see if anyone is paying attention. But this just looks like no one bothered to check spelling from the graphics department. Always get a chuckle when I spot the intentional spelling errors, but these don’t appear to be it. By the way I met Tommy when he used to drive for His dad Tom under BMW. Great, GREAT kid and a fantastic driver. But if he didn’t have bad luck he wouldn’t have any luck at all, guy gets taken out at the most inopportune times. |
it's nice that they did this for the drivers, but as far as the Corvette enthusiast, it's a let down. Really, it's just a plaque, as the color schemes can be ordered by anyone and not limited to this car. Even if it were a special color only, it's still just paint that you're going to pay a premium for. How about upping the HP on these to 500hp just like the C7R has? That would be something.

I sure hope the cars are better than the flyer spelling. Three spelling errors shows no one is paying attention to the work. Good work GM marketing. Maybe Mary B should see this flyer. She should know where to start cutting employees.

That's pretty disappointing. I was hoping for HP bump, not a sticker package/plaque package.

These special editions will be flying off the dealers lots like some of the past special editions. Rick get ready and stay by the computer and phone.

Would be nice to have had a decent bump in HP as others said. Wonder what the option price will be for a few stickers on the car. Also wonder what other benefits of getting one of these special edition cars will be. |
We all saw this coming. Another disappointment from GM, they sure know how to milk the consumer without making any efforts on improving the current platform.

I am getting decent with using vinyl wrap and knife tape to make stripes and hood stingers. Anyone need a “ special edition “ made I would be willing to try and add the decals and stickers |

I wasn't expecting much going in considering they are in all likelihood ramping down C7 production, however the stripe packages don't look unique in any way. OK, you may get a signature, a special plaque, etc., but not much else. Hopefully this is a curve ball and there will be something better announced on Friday. |
