Gotta have a 1970 convertible
In Search of… (Want to Buy)
1970 Corvette Convertible (No Coupes, No Other Years) I’m looking to buy one of the 6,648 1970 Corvette convertibles produced. Project or polished gem. Numbers matching or not. Stock or modded. Big block, small block, or no block. Auto or stick. Ideally, I’d like a power steering, power break, AC equipped Bridgehampton Blue (979) or Cortez Silver (986) car, but they make paint and bolt on everything, so those aren’t deal breakers. All factory fiberglass, Co7/Co8 Auxiliary hard tops, A85 Shoulder Belts, and N37 Tilt-telescopic steering, and being “all there” are big plusses. It’s gotta be a ’70 and it’s gotta be convertible. I’m in Southeastern Michigan and prefer something within a couple hundred miles, but I’m willing to travel for the right car. Canadian cars welcome. Price range is dependent on the car, of course, but I probably can’t afford your restored LT-1 and definitely can’t buy one of the 25 ZR1’s. Cash in hand. Serious buyer. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...085643bc3a.jpg |
118 views and no leads? I figured this might be a toughy, being the short production run. Any help is appreciated. I'll wait.

That's a $45k car in the pic you posted. At least that's what I'd take for it if I was selling it. 54k original documented miles, all original drivetrain, bunch of options including M21 4 speed, no rust in birdcage or frame and a few easily reversible mods.

Did you see this? Not my car, on the forum. Looks nice.
1971Steel Cities Gray / Black leather 4-speed all power options. 2 tops 350/270 with 8,000.00 in upgrades all original parts come with car. Great shape rust free chassis this 71 sounds great and hauls ass. If I don't sell it I willl keep it that's how great it runs....32,000.00 or B/O. Thanks, Johnny... Didn't realize it was yours. Love that car. 40 and up is a bit beyond me. Up to about 30, I'm thinking. LT1 -- ZR1 is 50 -100 or more, and way above a teacher whose corvette history has been a trend of trading up... Haven't traded enough up to reach those heights yet. Beautiful car, man.

Impressive build, Dmaxx. But it absolutely has to be a 70. Nice work there, though. Helluva car for whoever is lucky enough to buy it.

Not my car, but this 454 expires Friday. You might want to call the owner of interested. Big blocks are pricey, and he's not asking that much. Probably negotiable also. Good luck, Steve |
