Nope, you're not alone. It was a while back but I think I rowed through the gears of my TKO 500 more times on the bench than I have with it in the car.

Didja make the mandatory 'zooming' sounds while you were doing it? :D

When I get a new part, I am excited. When I have it installed, there is definitely movement.😎

derekderek 01-26-2019 10:01 AM

As long as you are not fondling your new shifter and the one you were born with at the same time...

C3_DH 01-26-2019 10:52 AM

Are you kidding? Absolutely... now that I am a new C3 owner, I look forward to much fondling of Corvette things to fondle!

Name of thread should be ARE YOU A CORVETTE PARTS PEDO?

CA-Legal-Vette 01-26-2019 12:23 PM

No I don’t! That would be weird :leaving:

I don’t do the living room thing any more. I still hear about it from my wife, many years later. Besides, she gets it wrong; it wasn’t engine parts, it was a stoutly rebuilt 200 4R.

Boy this forum is getting weird. Between the porno adverting on the other post and now this!!!!! They are going to need a proof of age requirement to join soon!!!!:willy:

I do LOL. I would have display of parts if they were not so pricy.

Rescue Rogers 01-26-2019 08:50 PM

Is this a 12 step program? Of course I do, don't you? I love my parts, especially engine parts. I rebuilt my motor and tranny last winter, I have them both out again this winter. I converted the M21 to a m20 to get a lower first gear. I bought a 64 3.70 that I hope holds together. That gets me from a dog of a 7.81 launch ratio to a rocket launching 9.32 launch ratio. The cam in my motor got me about 350-360 horse and the new one I want is about 460 horse. Right now I'm fondling the engine compartment to make it look pretty.

Rescue, did the same thing to my engine compartment five years ago and it still looks great. Thumbs up on the aluminum foil trick. One of my favorite ways to mask bulky, large area and weird shapes!

Rescue Rogers 01-26-2019 10:11 PM

I got the idea from here, it may have been you, thanks!!

You are welcome! It sure saves a lot of time, masking off and taping, that's for sure.

Aluminum foil works well for that purpose. But, when done and you remove and straighten it back out, ends up making the meatloaf taste funky, the first time you reuse it. :ack:

Jeffs82c3 01-27-2019 12:00 PM

I don't fondle my new parts, but do look them over very closely with a sparkle in my eye.lol
