am I right that your business is counter cyclical? A leading or lagging indicator?

Hahaha Rinaldo - OK so maybe that is a serious question so,. I really think it all about how much an extremely expensive resource is used to generate revenue. Given you are charging enough for tickets and carrying enough paying customers on each flight to support the direct costs of operating the airplane, the key is are you flying it enough on a daily basis to pay the loan and other indirect fixed non-direct costs.

If you have your multi-million dollar cash flow generator sitting 16 hours a day and flying less than 80% full then you are loosing money and you are not going to make it. And just like your car, if you don't make the payments the owner is going to come and take it.. The other possibility is that your lease ends and since there is a airbus store in your city you tell the lessor to come and get it just as they brought it to you. Before the owner takes it back there is going to be a conformity inspection to verify it is in a condition where it can be released to a new owner. That is, all maintenance has been done and the airplane systems check out on the ground and in flight. The Recovery pilot and maintenance team does that.

Forget about the TV reality shows. Anyway - this is the Corvette Forum not the Repo forum. But that's part of what I do. The fun part is flying big iron all over the world without passenger or gate drama and enjoying my incredible ZR1 and other passions on the days I am not working. I live in Orlando because there are international flights to just about everywhere.

Now... back on topic, please ...

Cheers - Kev

Kev, You have a most interesting profession! I hope you're writing a book and including a chapter on driving the ZR1 of course!

I will be at the Avenues with my 2016 Z06, and my buddy will be there with his Stingray Z51

I was picturing you in black clothing rolling a Gulfstream out of a hanger in the middle of the night and having to get it fired up and in the air before “Tony Montona’s” soldiers opened fire on you. :willy:

I don't do "little airplanes" like the Gulfstream, Rinaldo. And my insurance, confidentially + hold harmless and defend agreements prevent me from discussing my clients, operations or any aircraft that I have allegedly brought back with or without holes in them.

Thanks for your understanding, now back on topic please... :hide:
