A little help with what seats are in my 95 convertible please

Hello all, I have owned my 95 convertible for a few years and never have figured out what seats these are in it. All the other seats I’ve seen in c4s are different from these. Anyone know what they are from so I can order some parts to fix them?

They look like stock seats with a really crappy set of locally sourced covers.

If you have lumbar support then they should be sport seats

Yes. You do have the lumbar supports, so those are sport seats. But those are the wrong seat covers.

Those are the 94-96 style sport seats with a set of aftermarket seat covers installed on them. The covers do not match the original leather pattern or shape in any way. Here are a couple pics of what your seats should look like:

It looks like the previous owner might have purchased C6 seat covers - they resemble the look of a base C6 seat - here is where to look proper C4 covers: http://www.corvetteamerica.com/seat-covers

Thanks to you all that helped. I’ll see about getting the covers off and see how bad the seats are underneath. I’m sure I’ll be back soon with more questions as the ole girl is going to need a lot of work from sitting.

with the contour of the seat back, they look like the base seats from a c5.

Your seats are definitely not C4 seats. The shape is all wrong.

You may just need to buy new mounted seat sets. They come with the leather and the foam all ready to be installed on your seat frames.

Where can you get a pre-mounted set?

Most Corvette suppliers sell the mounted seats. Mid America, Corvette Central, Ecklers etc. They all sell the leather covers mounted on new foam that are ready to be installed on an existing seat frame. This is a good choice if your current foam is falling apart, or flattened. You get new leather and new foam and the mounted covers look great!

I would double check to make sure you actually have the correct seat frame as well before ordering.

^^^I'm with 'this guy' ^^^^^

OP - you do nothing until you confirm what you've got. I'd think it actually would/could involve removing a seat in your case.

To each their own, but I prefer the 84-93 ‘fighter jet’ style seats

the 94-96 seats were built with wider bottom.

im pretty scrawny (5’11 145 lbs) and prefer the wrap around feel of the 84-93 seats

so if you consider replacements, you may want to look into the 84-93.

Then there are those of us who truly appreciate the wider bottoms. ;-)
