Carbon Flash owners with window tint step right in

Thinking about tinting the windows on the Z this summer and hoping some of you can post some pics with type of tint and % numbers to give me an idea on how it will look. Also, did you do straight tint over the dot matrix on the hatch or a black vinyl strip?

I only did the side windows, not sure of the % but probably about the lightest offered. It still seems dark to me.

No pictures but I did legal for NC (35%) it's not super dark but does what you want it to. No issues with night visibility, but you can see into it. I usually have a sunshade in, between that and the solid roof it may as well be limo tint , it's really dark with that combo in.

In the picture the rear hatch really looks to be tinted. Did you go with ceramic or dyed?

It was film of some kind. Rear glass looks dark but it is stock. Also has a clear top.

Here is an example of the rear glass at 5% and the side glass at 15% with ceramic tint. The dot matrix was left in place on my back window and it looks like you would expect. Not pleasing to the eye in the slightest.

I'm worried about the rear window as well. I've heard of some shops sanding down the dots or using a black strip of vinyl, not sure what route to go.

My older brother tried to sand down the dot matrix on a F-body in the past. Long story short, it did not work that well.

This is 5% on rear and side windows, non ceramic. They tinted over the black dots and it looks ok.

Looks awesome but 5% must make difficult to see out at night no? Any tint laws there? I would definitely be pulled over and ticketed here with 5%.

My 2012 GS CE already had the side windows & hatch glass tinted, but I'm going to have it removed and redone. Gonna have limo 5% ceramic tint installed on hatch & side windows and probably 30% to 35% on windshield to eliminate glare and to keep car cooler.

We do have a tint law here in Colorado and 5% is definitely illegal. I've never had an issue though. Fortunately my gs is just my fun car but my truck is also tinted all the way around in 5%. It's not bad at night. Usually the only problem I have is backing up at night if it's not in a lighted area. If so then I just roll down my side windows so I have a better view through my mirrors.

Our legal tint laws require 35 max. I'm not legal at 20 and it's pretty dark. I can't imagine 5%.

You couldn't pay me to drive with a tinted windshield. It's literally the dumbest thing you can do to a car. If you're worried about heat, get a clear film that blocks uv and heat. But actual tint on the windshield is the stupidest thing out there, and illegal in every state.

I can’t speak for other states but we’re only allowed a 5” strip at top of windshield.

Haha, it is dark but you get use to it. I wanted the all blacked out look so it had to happen.
