National Corvette Museum

My first trip to the National Corvette Museum. Every Vette enthusiast should get there at least once.

This is a little video tour of the place. A mix of all generations. Looking down the sinkhole was just eeeerie. What an awesome place!

Been there, twice, but before the sinkhole.

:iagree: have a group from this forum going this July, all coming from various locations, and this video will allow some who haven't been there an opportunity to get a preview!

Thank you again!

Great video
I made my first trip in 2014, just after the sinkhole incident. It was a memorable experience to be sure.
It should be a "bucket list" item for any Corvette owner.

I agree, a must see for Corvette enthusiasts.

Went a few years back, attended the Bash and toured the plant. Good time!

Been there a couple times, before and after the sink hole .. Agree with the others who have said it's a must see for enthusiasts :flag:

I enjoyed the trip very much but I believe my wife, who has zero interest in cars normally, enjoyed it more than I did. To me it's a must-do trip for Corvette owners and car enthusiasts in general.

Ncm

I liked it also but was just a little disappointed that it didn't give more info or some sort of display about the St.Louis plant, also at the end when you walk into the Kentucky local museum it had a Ford Model T and a Ford police car I considered this sacrilegious.

I am lucky to live a couple hours away. I go a couple times a year for the track mostly.

I attended a wedding reception there, before I owned a corvette. The brides parents owned a C4 and dad drove the bride and groom right into the banquet room in his vette, pretty cool!

If you are a race fan I know another reason to go to the museum. You can watch the 24 hours of LeMans via live feed on the large screen in the theater. For more info go to the museum web site. I have done this the last couple years and now look forward to going again.

The guys in our Corvette Club are going in May. Been there several times (before and after sinkhole). Great place.

May 16-19 is the annual C4 Corvette gathering at the NCM. It would be an excellent time to visit - get to see some other C4 owner, do a a couple of excursions - maybe to a brewery/distillery, and a remote BBQ dinner gathering (is planned). And, then there is the track events and Go-Karts... Fun for the whole family!

Excellent video of the NCM, by the way. Thanks 4 that!!!

Paul.

I went in 2007 but much has changed since. I need to go back.

BWF07 02-14-2019 11:12 AM

I was there in '09. The week after the big anniversary bash. I has just pulled and parked when I noticed these cars being moved in to position for a photo shoot.

look at the left headlight on this one. Knowing someone was out of work that day as you cannot run down to the local auto parts store and get a replacement. So I agree for any Corvette enthusiast this is a must see. I also recommend that if you own a Corvette you become a member of the museum as it is a means of supporting them. They are not a GM division. They rely on funds raised and members.

If I suggested this to my significant other I would be single again as fast as a ZR1 can run the 1/4 mile!

have been there in 1996 and i'll get back next summer. Seems that a lot have change since.

Allan 02-21-2019 11:27 PM

I've had 2 R8C deliveries which included a personal tour of both the factory and museum.

Quite an experience
