So one of my winter projects was removing the A/C which didn't work. And in it was a nest on both sides of the Evap core. Did not find a Mouse or a skeleton.

That's unfortunate to hear. I'm always thinking and hoping this doesn't happen to me over the winters due to the amount of headache and a mess they can cause.

I'm not sure how long ago this happened , when I bought the car there was some in the jack storage but never have seen a live one. I guess I'm lucky no electrical damage has been done.

When I pulled my heater last year I found the nest and the mouse mummy. Second time its happened to me. Last time was back in 89 when I was fixing my 69 GTO heater. I have a cat living inn the garage this winter and the mice have been staying away. Hopefully its a thing of the past

Wow I thought mine was bad but maybe the mummy is in my vents?

Not that it makes it any better...but I come across this situation a LOT...and the clean up is the worst part to make sure all vents and housings are cleaned up so the dusts or microbes are not circulating in the cabin and the person is going to still be breathing it.

Here's my plenum. They lived here and pee'd in the center console behind the e-brake handle. Most of my firewall insulation was in these 2 places.

Absolutely, Dub. Please remember that mice and rats carry very serious diseases, which become airborne when you are cleaning urine and feces. MANY people have become very ill and even died as a result of cleaning up mice nests. So be careful, I wear a dust mask when cleaning. Wet it down thoroughly first and wipe. Bag it up, and seal it. DO NOT USE AIR to blow out this stuff. Bill :ack:
