Can you tell me what this part is?
 

Found these in my huge pile of parts. I believe they're from a chrome bumper shark, but I dont recognize them. Anybody got any ideas?

You are correct. Reinforcement brackets under the nose.

Outer front corner bracket goes between the front of the inner fender and the nose around the headlights

There should also be a backing plate that sits on the wheel side of the wheel well.Its about the same size as the flat part of the pieces

Early 68's did not have these, but they sure do need them to keep the heavy headlights from cracking the hood surround corners near the hood hinges.
That is why GM added them, plus the "twist" brackets and the nose rod. Mine cracked really bad without these brackets. Lou.
