Finish on kick panel frame pocket
 

Just about to replace the metal box inside both #2 body mount pockets. I hosed both down with Eastwood’s rust encapsulation years ago and removed the decomposing bolts, but never did finish.. Since the pockets will end up looking close to stock, I thought I might as well finish them correctly.

ive seen a number of different colors including black, silver and chromate. Some even look like body color. Is there a correct finish/coating? Car is a 73 if that matters.

IIRC, 73 birdcages were zinc chromate green.
