Valve seal failure, suggestions.
 

So decided to check guid play/wear on the z today. Good news guides seem fine car has 33k on the clock and has ahp stage 4 heads. Anyway, 1 of the seals had failed. Btr springs and seals cammed car. Now there is very little left of the seal in fact the only thing there was the metal from the seal and the spring. My question is throw new seal in and chenge fluid filter and roll or what? Kinda afraid some of the rubber material may be floating around in my engine. Cam was installed 2k miles ago and this very well could have happened right away so i have no idea how long its been this way. Any suggestions?

I would ask Kohle at AHP what he recommends. Why fool around with us amateurs? ;^)

Haha i hear ya. The guy that did install said replace it and change fluid filter and roll with it. Id say thats what im gonna do just looking to see what others thought.

Change the oil and filter and send it

On my lt1 trans-am I had the reunion fail bearings every where just changed oil motor was still fine needle bearings were every where.. ..but was good.

Just gonna send it lol. New seal installed of course.
