Low wing
Anyone with the low wing? Looks to be much easier to utilize the trunk.

I have a low wing convertible and dont find it much of a problem. Only when opening the trunk you have to get your fingers on the side vs the close edge of the lid.

Great. I was thinking it’s not much worse than the Stage 3 on the Z06. I’d only seen the high wing and not a fan of the look as well as the difficulty in using the trunk. How’s visibility?

Haven't got lots of driving time before winter. I can say I would see the wing in the mirror but it wasnt an issue. Especially with the limited visibility when the top is up. Only had top down for a very short time and visibility was better.

Absolutely no visibilty issues! Easy trunk access.

Weapon X makes a conversion kit to lower the high wing to the low wing height. It works great.

That’s great. How does the base ZR1 without ZTK compare to the Z07 package on the Z06? I assume the ZTK package is considered like the Z07 option on the Z06. I’m just not a fan of the high wing. Sounds like the low wing is still superior to the stage 3 on the Z06.
I formerly had a 2016 ZO6/ZO7 with a clear wicker I’ll. I have to say the visibility with the ZR1 is better, whether it’s the low or high wing. Hope that helps, Hawkbarr #792 |
While I only drove for 50 miles last Saturday before the snow hit, the ZR1 ride quality on track setting feels very similar to my ZO7 on track.
