Okay get the hatespray out once again! (Vette Wagon!)
I saw this other custom Vette on that same dealer site with the four-door one. Just curious what people think of this one? Hot or not!? I have to say I have a REAL weakness for wagons, no matter the marque or model...
This one doesn't claim any "factory" association ... all custom. Anybody know anything more about this kind of conversion? https://nbsautoshowroom.v12soft.com/...Station-Wagon/https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...e3bd247fe6.jpg |
There were a few factory corvette wagons (google Nomad concepts) but this one ruins a great '69 imo.

I kind of like the wagons... but this one looses it for me with the grill & lower valance treatment.

Looks like a model to me.

From what I heard Chuck Miller- custom car builder - built the Red Baron- as I did as a kid but in 1/24th scale- was the first with the Vette station wagon
If I were to get one- this would be it- I like the glass look- as it reminds me the Olds Vista Cruiser- http://image.superchevy.com/f/279096...brear_view.jpg http://image.superchevy.com/f/267085...ar_windows.jpg http://image.superchevy.com/f/279097...front_left.jpg |
The orange wagon looks OK with the exception of the fender flairs and roof rack.

I think it's kinda nifty, and the car looks happy. I bought a set of sidepipe headers from someone who had one of these in his garage (will likely never be restored, but who knows). Other than this conversion, only the 82 CE ever came with both big glass and a working hatch.
I take issue with the dealership site this is from. The purposefully oversaturate the colors in their photos. Makes the photos look like they were taken when the car was new, I s'pose, but they are awful to look at. EDIT: Anyone know what wheels those are? |

Pretty sharp and room for groceries or golf clubs! I don't think our English Mastiff would fit back there though!! LOL |
Not a fan .

If you like wagons the red one is by far more tolerable. On the orange C3 the wagon conversion is the least of the issues. The luggage rack for starters not to be out done by the front bumper treatment and the flares are horrible. :ack:

To me it looks like it was made for a Chevy Chase movie :)
The red one I could live with. Just my .02

Wagonbacks are great
No hate from me...other than there are MEGA better ones out there....the one pictured is JUVENILE.
All questions asked are answered in this article....including the reference to the vista cruiser. If I found a C-3 hit badly in the tail.....WAGONBACK fer sure! https://www.corvette-mag.com/issues/...m#.XGXdqKJKiUk Unkahal |
One step closer to a great Shag-Wagon.
I would drive it/use it. Just saying. |

Ecklers used to make a station wagon kit for C3s. I saw a number of them running around Central Florida back in the day.
