1978 Tail Light Ground Connector
My driver's side tail light has been acting odd lately, and I tracked it down to the ground. I need to replace the terminal/connector, but I have no idea what it's called.

that isnt part of the complete socket?

Mine did the same thing. I just replaced all 4 sockets, and spliced them together for 1968-style taillights. If one broke, you can bet they all will.

On the original socket, the ground wire has a sort of plunger connector, with this on the end of the wire. My socket is completely fine, with the exception of this little connector. I ordered replacement sockets from Willcox but they were Taiwanese and the prongs for the bulbs do not reach high enough to interact with the terminals on the bottom of the bulbs. Ideally, I'd like to replace just this ground terminal on each tail light since the other aspects of the original sockets are fine.

Same thing here. Looks like one of the many parts on these cars GM didn't intend to last 40 years.
Did the Zip sockets work well for you? |
I have a brake light that won't work, going to get some new plugs. I'm also looking at that LED bulb.... I need some of those too.
