Z06 dual mode muffler on base question

Im looking to put some dual mode mufflers and mid-pipe from a 07 Z06 on my base 2010. I know the exhaust changed in 08 will these mufflers and mid-pipe physically bolt up correctly? I was going to buy the "npp in a box" but once again it asked if the car is ls2 05-07 or 08+ I would assume i can buy the 08+ and they will work? I tried asking this question to the seller and got a response on the lines of "The mufflers wont even work" soo any help is appreciated!

One of my friends has the mufflers laying in his garage and will give me a good deal on them if they will work.

The Z06 pipes are 3" vs your base 2.5". What you can do, is to cut the pipes off your base mufflers as close to the can as possible. Then cut the pipes off the Z06 mufflers about 3/4" away from the can. Now weld your pipes to the Z06 mufflers, since your pipes will slip into the Z06 mufflers right as it shrinks down from 3" to 2.5".
HINT: Scribe a mark across each area before you cut, so alignment is easy when you weld. Tack weld first and check fit before full weld.

Thank you might go that route instead! So if i buy the "npp in a box" for the ls3 car theoretically I can get these to function as oem?

No, not like OEM, because those only open automatically above 3000 rpm. The NPP in a box allows you to open or close them at anytime without a rpm limit.

Exactly what I did, thanks to Hoxxoh recommendations. Although I went from 09 set to 08. Same difference as I cut off and re used my pipes. Was actually very easy and cost about $20 bucks to have the muffler guy weld them Up for me. Good luck!
