Just signed the paperwork at dealer and got $5,000 off

My ZR1 came in last week and I finally had time to go do the paperwork. As soon as I walked in the owner of the dealership came over to me and said he had some good news for us. We sat down and he told us that instead of only getting $3000 off from our GM card we get $5000 off. I guess there was some kind of promotion for January and February. So technically I got a $5000 discount. Over the years we have saved over $25,000 on GM vehicles by using our GM card points. We get 5% back on every purchase with no limit. We have had our GM card about 10 years and I guess the new GM card isn't as good.

Wow sounds good to me. No discount on mine but no additional mark up either. I tried getting the GM F&F discount but only available on Z06 and lesser builds. Nice price!

Do you know for sure that that promo ends at the end of February?

My dealership mentioned a similar scenario when I picked mine up last week. We saved a few thousand dollars by using GM points, and because the car was a “sold order” we didn’t have to pay the $2000 price increase that went in to effect a couple months ago. It showed on the buyers order as a $2000 discount.
