Total Noob from Oklahoma
Hello!
Total noob from Oklahoma here. In high school I knew a guy with a pretty sexy '69 Stingray that he was restoring. I didn't and don't know much about cars, but I knew his car looked like poetry to me and the sound of the engine was the musical accompaniment. Never thought I'd get to own a Corvette, but over Christmas I wrecked my 2013 Equinox, started looking at Priuses and Rav4's for fuel efficiency (lol), saw a 2017 Stringray on the lot and asked to test drive it on a whim. I was hooked. Could not afford a new Vette, but managed to find an older one in a decent price range in my area. Now I have a 2004 silver manual transmission Vette with Borla exhaust and some other little aftermarket fun inside, like a touch screen and Bluetooth and whatnot. It has black wheels that I also think are aftermarket. I do DD it and I live in an apartment complex, so working to find ways to preserve it as best I can.
I know little to nothing about cars but I'm in love with this Vette and I'm here to get advice, learn, and talk to other Vette enthusiasts. I want to talk tires, car covers, exterior care, there are definitely some minor cosmetic things that need to be done to it, and I welcome all good advice. Thank you!
